Can I use 3rd-party or non-cPanel servers in a cPanel DNS Cluster?

Answer

DNSAdmin is the core of what helps manage DNS services in cPanel and what allows for DNS Clustering to function as it does with our implementation.

If you want to add a non-cPanel server as a DNS Cluster, you can do so by creating your own DNSAdmin plugin.

Note: Creating your own custom DNSAdmin plugin to support your 3rd-party system will require that your are familiar with Perl. Additionally, please note that cPanel support staff will not be able to assist in writing or creating the custom plugin and our ability to troubleshoot any issues with it will be very limited.
