cPanel Non-Profit License FAQ

cPanel Non-Profit license applications are currently closed for new organizations while we revamp our process. We hope to re-open the applications soon.

This is an application process and completing the application does not guarantee approval of the license. All cPanel/WHM Non-profit licenses are approved and provided at cPanel's discretion.

What Qualifies as a Non-Profit Organization?

cPanel offers no-cost licensing for non-profit organizations that meet the qualification requirements listed within the guidelines of https://www.guidestar.org

If your organization is outside the United States, please provide the country's Non-Profit website that states it as a Non-Profit Organization. cPanel will also require government documentation confirming the organization's status as a registered non-profit. In addition, please include the IP that should be licensed.

Below are some examples of GuideStar/Non-Profit Validators from other countries that we may accept to verify your Non-Profit status:

As a Policy, cPanel does not offer Non-Profit licenses to any religious organization.

What sites can I host on my Non-Profit server?

Non-Profit servers can only host sites related to the organization that applied for the license and it's employees or workers. Sites that offer paid services or products that are unrelated to your Non-Profit organization will need to be hosted on a server with a paid cPanel license.

If your Non-Profit organization is an educational institution, please apply for an Educational license instead. You may find the Educational license application here:
