Occasionally, you may need to reset or otherwise regain access to a cPanel user account or a Webmail User. cPanel Customer Service is not able to directly assist with these types of account credentials as they are maintained at the server level by the hosting provider or root user.
Although we provide the cPanel software for many hosting providers, for security reasons, we are not able to access their servers without their direct request. You may use the following reference guide to assist with retaining passwords for your user logins.
cPanel (User Interface)
Resetting your cPanel interface password will need to be done be your hosting provider or administrator. You may be able to reset the password at the cPanel login screen if your host has the feature enabled. Some hosting companies also provide their clients a way to reset their cPanel user password in their Billing or Customer Portals. Check your hosting provider for the best practice on how to retain your user login.
Webmail
Resetting a Webmail Password can be done from within the Email Accounts of the domain's cPanel. Here is a link to a quick guide:
