Why do I see the following error when creating an account?

Account Creation Status: failed. Invalid value “#” for the “max_email_per_hour” setting.

Answer

This error occurs when the default value of unlimited for the "Max hourly emails per domain" setting at WHM "Home / Server Configuration / Tweak Settings / Mail" is changed to some other value, and the value is less than what the package that's attempting to be assigned to the account has set. The "Maximum Hourly Email by Domain Relayed" setting in the Edit a Package interface can set a lower maximum hourly email limit than the Max hourly emails per domain setting, but cannot set a higher limit.

To resolve this error, either the "Max hourly emails per domain" at WHM "Home / Server Configuration / Tweak Settings / Mail" will need to be increased so it's larger than what the package has configured or the package will need to have its "Maximum Hourly Email by Domain Relayed" setting reduced to a value lower than what's set for "Max hourly emails per domain" within WHM.
